I’m Rachel, an online CBT and EMDR therapist working with adults across the UK. My approach is warm, steady and collaborative, offering a safe space to explore what’s been happening and move toward clarity, confidence and emotional balance.
Over the years, I’ve developed a particular passion for women’s mental health. I care deeply about women’s rights, women’s experiences, and women’s access to good mental health support. Many of the women I work with carry the weight of anxiety, trauma, stress, burnout, perfectionism or long‑standing self‑criticism — often shaped by roles, expectations or experiences that are unique to women’s lives. Supporting women to feel seen, understood and empowered is a central part of my work.
Although I specialise in women’s mental health, I warmly welcome clients of all genders. My specialism reflects the depth of my training, interest and experience, not a limitation on who I work with. Many men and non‑binary clients also find my therapeutic style helpful, especially when navigating anxiety, trauma, stress or emotional overwhelm.
I use evidence‑based CBT and EMDR to help you understand what’s happening, why it’s happening, and what will support meaningful change. Therapy with me is structured but compassionate — a balance of practical tools, emotional understanding and steady support. I aim to help you feel more grounded, more in control, and more connected to yourself.
I believe everyone deserves access to safe, effective mental health care. I’m committed to creating a therapeutic space that is respectful, inclusive and empowering. My work is guided by compassion, curiosity and a genuine belief in people’s capacity to heal and grow.
I have over 15 years experience as a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT) working in an NHS primary care mental health team. I have been an accredited CBT Therapist, with the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) since 2012, following a number of years studying and as a trainee therapist. This experience has given me the opportunity to work with a wide range of people, difficulties and severity of difficulty.
I completed my supervisor training in 2017. I completed EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing Therapy) training in 2019. In my role I provide individual CBT and EMDR therapy, I have run a number of groups including those for depression, Trauma, Post natal Depression & Anxiety. I also provide supervision, supporting other therapists with their work. I continue to work in the NHS part time.
